The Black Beauty Shoot showcases the prevalence of black culture and black beauty in the Washington DC area. There is no better place to perform art than a black owned beauty supply store. Beauty Supply stores are a pinnacle point of black artistry and for years has been the starting ground of "Black Girl Wonder". It's necessary to highlight the importance of taking back ownership of black beauty brands/shops and show that we are not only here as consumers but creators of space.
